Blue Line Extension boosts link to Noida, Ghaziabad

Several key locations of Noida and Ghaziabad received a connectivity boost when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 6.6km section of the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line Extension.

This line has 6 stations on the fully elevated section at Sectors 34, 52, 61, 59, 62, and Noida Electronic City.

Extension of the Dwarka-Noida City Centre Blue Line of Delhi Metro will benefit those commuting between Ghaziabad-Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, and Noida-Delhi.

This extended corridor has also brought Blue Line close to the recently opened Aqua Line, which connects Noida and Greater Noida. The Sector 52 station of the DMRC’s Blue Line is close to the Sector 51 Metro station on the Aqua Line.

A dedicated pathway to switch metros between these two lines has also been opened. This gives last-mile connectivity to people travelling through Greater Noida, Noida, and Delhi.

Prashant Tiwari, president of Credai Western UP, says: “Finally, the western UP region is getting what was long due and was a major obstacle in its development. The inauguration of the Hindon Airport Civil Terminal and extension of Noida City Centre to Noida Electronic City Metro Line will increase connectivity and boost the real estate of the region. It also makes this region one of the most sought-after destinations for buyers and investors.”

Dhiraj Jain, director of Mahagun Group, says: “Developed sectors on the Blue Line extension are expected to benefit in terms of rental and capital appreciation for residential and commercial segments. Sector 62, which has offices of MNCs and IT companies, will now have better connectivity. Residential areas in its proximity, like Indirapuram and Sectors 50, 51, and 52, will gain momentum. The Aqua Line will boost development of sectors leading to Greater Noida. Many educational institutes are in Greater Noida and lack of connectivity was hampering progress which these sectors deserved.”

Connectivity is certainly going to influence the buying decision of end users looking to buy houses in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad.
