Noida crucial for `Housing for all'
With huge inventory and land parcels, Noida can be utilised quite well to accomplish this mission
With its mission to provide housing to all, th central government even launched its programme, 'Housing for all by 2022'.While various measures are being taken by the central and state governments to accomplish the mission, Noida, with its present inventory and upcoming projects, can be considered a potential contributor in realising the government's dream of providing housing to all. It is estimated that a huge inventory is available in the city and huge parcels of unused land are available to be utilised.

Talking about the city's potential to aid this mission, RK Arora, chairman, Supertech Ltd, says, “When it comes to housing for all, due to space scarcity in Delhi, Noida has become one of the hottest destinations for customers and in vestors. Government and de velopers community can work in tandem to achieve this goal.

Noida has been catering to a high demand of both, residene tial and commercial spaces.

Both these bodies can work through PPP model and build on city's infrastructure and houses for the common man at the same time, achieving the desired aim of the present gov ernment.“ Government's am bitious goal of `Housing for All' requires a clear, well-thought out policy. With affordable housing projects available for both, low and mid-income groups, Noida is being touted as a high potential area for this.

Santhosh Kumar, CEO-Operations and international director, JLL India, concludes by saying, “With about 70 to 80 developers ready with projects offering 1 and 2-BHK flats at affordable rates, the mission certainly gets a boost. This helps Noida's role in fulfilling this mission quite important.
